I spoke with a friend who went to the July conference and I have been reading and watching videos about WBT. I am so excited to be learning about it! Is there a conference coming to AZ anytime this year? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hey hey all of you crazy, wonderful WBT teachers in the Phoenix area. We have a newbie here, drainer, who is excited about WBT. What schools are represented in Phoenix? I know there are teachers in the Dysart District and Paradise Valley District who are experts! Let's rally around our new friends and see what we can do to help them out.
By the way, which state was leading the way in the forum??? Let's hear from you, AZ!!!

Hi out there. I am in the Dysart district and fully willing to help any and all teachers in the PHX area that want to implement the WBT concepts. I am preparing for my first full year of implementation and I am very excited! A Mighty 'Oh Yeah' for Arizona!

I'm in the Peoria district and I plan on starting WBT this year! I'm sure I will be checking in a lot once school starts! Stephanie

We come back on the 22nd. I'm going to have 2 students (I teach a self-contained class for students with Emotional Disabilities). My plan is to use the scoreboard for moment-to-moment classroom management, while integrating the Bullseye game with our IEP goal tracking system. I grade them on a scale 1-5 already, so they'll grade themselves as well twice a day, and the points they earn from that will be used as a sort of token economy. By beating me on the scoreboard, they'll be earning Fun Friday (free time during 7th period on Fridays) but to do extra cool stuff like use the computer during that time they'll need to Bullseye game points saved up.

I'm still working out the kinks.
