Last week, Chris Biffle introduced a concept in my class that I have adapted to our style and it is working beautifully. Every time a student wants to answer a question or make a comment, they now have to stand up, face the class and use the "class/yes" strategy. This is helping the students to not only gain confidence in oral speaking in front of their peers, but also use good listening skills and I am finding that their is more respect among peers in my classroom.
