Here in Arizona we are not allowed to teach bilingually anymore. We have Structured English Immersion programs, where students are taught in English only. This has created a huge rift amongst educators in our state. However, whatever the law may be, we have a significant number of students who enroll in school with little or NO English. In the traditonal classroom setting, ELLs sit, without a lot of opportunity to practice what they are learning. Not so in a WBT classroom! WBT is fantastic for ELLs, due to the gestures, the micro-lectures, and the opportunity for repeated practice through "Teach, OK". I am excited that you have the opportunity to tap on both languages as you give your Kinders the foundation for future learning! Yippee!!!
Blessings to you as you jump into this adventure!
