How do I start brain toys. We have done "because" as we choose new leaders orally. But I want them to move to other areas math and writing in particular.

Ideas-

I am comfortable with most WBT, except introductions to new skills.

Thank you Scrapbunny, I was viewing but did not text that day. I just want to drum up the enthu...especially toward the end of the year since we go until July 21! Yike.

So the introduction to brain toys I felt was a "biggie". Does this sound right WBTers:

T: We just finished the three bears story, we are going to use a gesture called a brain toy. Let's use our imagination and ....(insert a brain toy here and try it).

S: On desk using ....

Does this look right?

Annette that is a great start. I usually intro it like this...
"Class"
"Yes"
"Mirror"...these are my Sockless Handpuppets...They work together to tell a story.
Clap Twice and say "Puppets" the kids respond with "Okay" just like normal.
Then they use their puppet to talk to each other. The kids puppets talk to each other, the kids don't talk to each other.

Anytime your about to have them use a brain toy...you Clap twice and say the brain toy.
Clap Twice "Vocab Candy"..."Okay"
Clap Twice "Two Fingered Action Figures"...Okay
Clap Twice "Blackboard"..."Okay" (Air Blackboard)
