Today I started using one of the techniques Crazy Professor, before explaining the lesson with gestures and has been a wonderful thing ...

All my students were reading silently, grimacing and preparing for my explanation.

The class has obtained a happy face just for the interest, besides being better prepared for the Teach-ok.

Greetings.

Lukas.

I have been using Crazy Professor for four years and my students consistently improve in reading comprehension. Even my GATE kids benefit.

Help!
I've downloaded and read through the Crazy Professor, but I'm not sure how to go about actually implementing it. It seems to me that I will have to do mini-lessons on each stage of the Crazy Professor and let my kids practice each first...anyone have suggestions. BTW, I work with ESL middle school students....
Thanks!

First I would suggest that you watch the Crazy Professor video on this website...it'll go a long way in explaining the big picture. Then...yes you are correct do each step in a mini-lesson and work on them. There is no hurry, you just want the kids to go deeper and more thorough in their comprehension. You could do two steps a day or maybe three, depending on your group.

Steps 5-7 are pretty easy and won't need much practice...step 8 of course is the whole goal. Have fun and let us know how it's going.
