Has anyone created or considered creating Power Pix for 5th grade???
Thanks!

I have started to create some for reading strategies and grammar. I figure I'll do a few a week and use some from the 3rd grade power pix because ideas like fact and opinion are still relevant in 5th grade.

Hello!

On Monday, our school district heads back for the new year. My fifth grade team will be spending some time looking at the 3rd grade Power Pix and utilizing the ones that work with our curriculum (Work smarter, not harder). Then, throughout the year, as we teach new concepts, we will create a Power Pix for the concept. The team has decided to take it slow, so that we do not get overwhelmed with the project. By the end of this school year, fifth grade Power Pix should be created and ready for use on day one of the next school year.

Enjoy the year!

Hello! Creating 5th grade Power Pix is my big project for this year. As I create them, they'll go on my Power Pix wall. I'm thinking I'll post them on my class website. When I do, I'll put the link here. Maybe we could help each other by sharing them on our blogs/websites?

That's what I do...look on the Internet. I use Freedigitalphotos.com and StockXchange at sxc.hu most of the time. You can also do an advanced search on Google for Creative Commons photos.

I found a graphic site that is free and allows you edit or make changes to an existing picture.
The online royalty free public domain clip art. www.clker.com I really like to use clip art in my classrooms and I found this sire useful.

These look great hope the kids like them. I am partial to the dog one, I have beagles guess they could pose for one.

Those power pix look great! I love berries, but then again I love dogs, too! Grammar rules in powerpix. Great idea!
