Hi Everyone,
I just wanted you to know how fabulous WBT was for me again this year! I received
many commendables on my evaluation because of this program. My students responded even through the last week of school when everything is unruly. My class was a shinning example. We had Oklahoma University Students in the building with different teachers learning about becoming good teachers. They invariably found their way to my room just to witness my students in action. There is two things that I in-cooperated this year that only added to my classes good behavior. First, we said our first grade greed and the door greeter introduction. It gave my kids a sense of honor and respect to strive for.
The First Grade Creed: I am a couragess and respectful first grader! I'm here to say, I am on my way to having an excellent day! Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic, My teacher sets my goals high and I am to please, because I know I'm going to succeed. I'm out to set an example in every way, because who knows I could be President one day! So you better watch out success is a must. If your not careful you will be eating my dust!
The Door Greeter: You are now entering in the room of the world's brightess students. Please sharpen your intellect, your intelligence, your assertiveness and your preserverance for we shall surely challenge you to be the best that you can be.
Then we repeat the rules for WBT. I turned over morning opening to my students in January. They loved it. Each child was given the opportunity to shine. It made a world of difference in my class. I can't wait to implement it this year. I know I will start out with my hands full from the observation of the Kinders coming to first grade. However, with WBT I will accept the challenge!
