I have been trying to find the cost of the WBT conference on this site without success. Can someone point me in the right direction? I am in the process of discussing this with my principal so I may possibly attend the one in January.

The reason you can't find the price of our conferences is that all of them, for the last 11 years, have been free.

Reading about WBT online is extremely helpful, but nothing is like going to one of the conferences! It gives you the opportunity to try WBT out for yourself/see it in action, ask questions, meet fellow teachers using it, and get support. I was lucky enough to get to go to one last year, and of course it helped me out so much more. I was also happy to get to meet, Chris Biffle who has helped me make teaching so much more fun and easy!!!! I felt like I was meeting a celebrity! lol He is one in my eyes What a blessing to actually get to attend something that is free for once!

I have participated in the Webinars this month and learned so much but am anxiously awaiting to attend a conference. HOPEFULLY one is in the planning stage for Southern California. Just thinking...a conference in August would be awesome... a refresher course before our school year began.

Karen...there is going to be a conference in So Cal soon. How about two Saturday conferences? April 16 and May 7. It's not the refresher in August, but it'll get you some great info that you can go back and try right away and then really get it ready for next year.

These two days will be in Lemon Grove, CA which is a suburb of San Diego. Keep an eye on the calendar and you'll see the specifics here soon.

Chris - where will the National Conference be this year, and what are the dates? (I think Biffy said it would be June 13-15? But where?) It's not on the calendar yet, and I just realized I MIGHT be able to go! (My school year ends June 10, but my own kids are in school until June 17 - meaning childcare arrangements would be EASY). So I'm going to start looking into air fares and hotels, so I can start saving up for the travel costs....

Alright Jen and Karen...here is what I know as of right now. The National Conference is going to be June 13-15 in Alexandria, LA. We are also going to be in West Plains, MO on July 6-7.

This of course all depends on where you live in the US, so I'll give you another date or two. San Diego, April 16 and May 7, these are Saturdays, but they will be just like the first two days of the National Conferences.

We are also going to be in Phoenix, AZ on July 18-21. Choose any which one you want...or come to them all!

Keep checking the calendar for more details and then you'll also get the registration details.

Three of us form Northern Calif. are trying to get more info on the San Diego Conferences. How soon will they be posted? We have to jump through all the hoops before we get approval and that often works s-l-o-w-l-y. Help! (Lemon Grove? Cotija rolled tacos! Yum!)

MCD...plan on this for the conference info. Registration will be just you sending an email to Marcia M at Lemon Grove Elementary, but of course there is no cost so make the plans for April 16th. We'll be at Lemon Grove Middle School in Lemon Grove, CA from 830-300. Then we'll come back on May 7th for all of the same fun again! The first day will be classroom management and the second day will be academic games. Come on down and we'll have a blast.

I registered and am now watching live broadcast BUT I can't seem post! HELP??

Are you planning any trips to the east coast for a conference?

We would love to, but we are just keeping our fingers crossed that we will be able to make it to San Diego! It would be awesome to go to LA this summer, though.

Chris, I did not see this until today was it on the master calendar? I live about 20 min. from here. Where, how, do I sign up or just show up?

Annette....sorry about this but it's been hectic the last few days. Just come over to Lemon Grove on the 16th at 830. I'm just getting the last few details for the calendar so check back in a few days. You need to check there because since your an out of district person, you'll need to print off you own handouts. But then again, you're a WBT expert so you may not need to have any handouts. See you then.
