I have a question for the Moderators concerning posting on the forum.

I read through all of the posts on the forum and gathered information on select topics from all of the areas I found them. I extracted the information and put the data in single topic files. The gestures topic is what I have a question about.

After collecting all of the gesture posts from everywhere I found them I did some minor editing to standardize the information. The editing took out the first person language and statements like “First I tell the… then I do...” In some cases there was quite a bit of editing, in others very little.

Also, wherever there was a dual gesture for the same topic I selected the one I liked best. An example is for the period in sentence structure. In one place it is an index finger pointed forward and moved in a jabbing motion. In another place it is two fists jabbing forward. I selected the jabbing index finger.

My question: Is it appropriate to post this information on the forum.

I am not the author of these ideas. I did not gather the names of who wrote them as I went. I genuinely do not have the extra several long days it will take to re-read the entire forum to find who wrote each post. Therefore I cannot reasonably give credit to the original authors except in a general comment.

The second question, is about format. I can put all of it in one large file or separate it by subject such as science, math, physics etc. I think one large file is too large and will be a bit difficult to work through. Of course the format is up to you. If you want me to post the information please tell me which way you want it.

Jason ... we've often thought about compiling a dictionary of gestures for core concepts ... it's great that you've gone to the work to get the project started. I think it would be best to post the material by subject matter ... thanks!
