Chris, I've been to 2 conferences in Yucaipa, CA - both were last year (2008).
Last year was my first year of teaching 7th grade science and it was the most amazing experience of my life.

My kids and I cried as we said our goodbyes the last day of school, because they had enjoyed my class so much! Because of the Power Teaching
techniques I had little to no behavior issues and my kids learned so much! All but 2 students passed Science and many improved their test scores from years previous! The amount of respect we had for each other was so obvious that most visitors to my room commented on the amazing rapport I had with my students and the tremendous respect they had for each other. "Make smart choices" is my favorite, because it applies to
their whole life! I even had a student say that rule out loud when I was teaching sex ed at the end of the year. I was so delighted to hear him say this of his own accord and knew it had truly been believed by many of them!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the work that you and your
volunteers have done and continue to do. I will be teaching 8th grade
science at a new school this year and am completely confident that I
will have another fantastic year because I am a Whole Brain/POWER TEACHER!
