TOPIC: Problems getting videos to play for my class

Problems getting videos to play for my class 2 years, 7 months ago #2544

Hi all! I would love to show my 3rd graders the videos but my school's server has youtube blocked. I am also unable to use the videos that are on this site as well. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can get these so I can show them to my students? I think for some of them having the model to see and hear would help them get a better understanding of what it should be.

Thanks!

Try using Zamzar from home to convert the videos into a file format you know you can use at school.

I'm having the same problems. What is Zamzar and how does it work?

Did you try teachertube? I can access that from school even though I can't get youtube.

If you can access www.youtube.com at home you can use Real Player SP http://www.real.com/ to copy the video. Download realplayer sp then when you watch a youtube video in the top right hand corner a pop up will flash saying "download video." Click download and it willsave the video as a small movie file. Then open it in the Real Player library. On the top menu of real player you will find "my library" the video will be inside there."I've Got the Power"
