Hi,
I am teaching EFL in Taiwan and used and loved Biffytoons. Used it with a class as well as my own daughter. Great!
I want to start SuperSpeed 100, but the one thing I am a little confused about is the stars for breaking personal records. I think it is a great idea, but I am not sure how to put it into practice. You don't give students a check in a star every time they move on to a new level, do you? There aren't enough stars.
I hope someone who has actually used SuperSpeed 100 with a class could give me some ideas.
Thanks,
Adam

The awarding of stars is not as crucial as students having a lively celebration whenever they break a personal or team record for the number of words read in a minute in SuperSpeed 100. Also, they should keep some kind of note of where they will begin each time they break a record (our usual practice is that they begin one line down from their previous starting point).
