I'm finally sitting down to read the E-Book.
I've only finished ch. 2, but I already want to say- thank you so much for sharing this with us!

I love to hear that Chris Biffle wanted to quit and become a lawyer! You know how we feel! I've been toying with the idea of going back to school for several years (and I've only been teaching for 5). Honestly back in August I was crying at the thought of returning to school. But with WBT I've had the best year ever so far. There is hope!

Ok, I've gotta go read some more...

That was me, too, at about my 3-year mark. I found myself missing the days of waitressing or retail where all I had to do was be friendly and quick in order to be a shining star at my job....
WBT changed everything!

I have taught 6th grade for the last 12 years. This year my principal moved me to 4th grade due to low numbers in 6th. I started using WBT last year in 6th grade and my students loved it! 4th graders love it! It has renewed me and given me a fresh approach that I was craving. Children who used to blow out of the classroom last year to get away, now don't want to miss it! I am glad you found it as well! More power to you!

It is amazing what WBT has done for me as a teacher. My first year teaching I had 37 2nd graders, many who had severe behavioral issues. It was near impossible to keep these kids engaged. It was such a difficult year for me. I really thought I had made the wrong decision by entering the education field. Luckily, my second year I came across power teaching. The moment I learned about it, I knew it would change me for the better as a teacher. That is exactly what WBT has done for me. As a second year teacher, I had veteran teachers observing me regularly. They had never heard of such a teaching and loved it. It made me realize that teaching children is my calling, I just had to improvise how I was doing it. I sometimes think how things could have been with my first year class, if only I had know about WBT. I'm just glad I know about it now.

aalong02 and Jackie,

Thanks for these posts about feeling ready to quit. One of my very new teachers is a wonderful high energy woman who was a true star as a waitress and is totally stressed as a teacher in her first year. I copies and sent your posts - they were really helpful for her.
