Well we are super stars (kinda) We took home socks and did our own "sock puppets" all decorated and fancy. After a really good read aloud we use our real sock puppet and a silly voice to tell our partner about setting, characters . . .and so on. They love it, Oh, yeah.

Just think of the possibilities and it helps kids understand when you ask them to use a sockless one.

I think that is great. I can see this being very beneficial for our younger learners. Some of them haven't had exposure to puppets of any kind. It is always good to go from the "concrete" to the "symbolic". So, even if the teacher just introduced the retelling process with "real" puppets, then demonstrated with "socketless" the kiddos would get it better. Great job!!!
