I posted this on my blog and would like some feed back on on how you manage the scoreboard. I move around the room a lot and feel like I'm always running back to put a point up. I'd probably do more/better if I always had the scoreboard at my fingertips.

My only problem with the scoreboard is the physical constraint of having to be nearby to mark points. My white board is usually covered by the screen pulled down in front of it for the projector. Half way through the year I decided to change to a mini, hand-held whiteboard that I can carry around. It definitely helps...but I already have a problem with losing things frequently. Maybe I just need to hang one around my neck so that I can't walk away from it! Fellow Wibbeteers, does anyone else have this problem?

In my ideal world I would have a monitor on the wall exclusively used to project a digital scoreboard. Then I would have a remote control in my pocket so that I could easily access it at any point in the classroom. Maybe I should ask my techy brother to work on this for me.

Hey there,

I know your dilemma! In my classroom we change positions several times a day! Our main scoreboard is at the front of the room! When we are at morning meeting we have a separate scoreboard back there..then after morning meeting while the kids are going back to their desks I transfer those points to the front board. Same goes with leaving the room and going to another classroom....I take a portable white board with me and then transfer points to the main scoreboard. My kinders have not had a problem understanding this. No matter where we are in the room I just have a scoreboard that then gets transferred once we are back focused on the board!
