iPad Fanatics,
There is a pretty cool FREE app callled 3D Brain. I sent it to Coach Buffle, and he agreed that it was a neat visual for understanding the parts of the brain. (Yes, he has an iPad!!!)

I was able to show my students the prefrontal cortex, motor cortex, visual cortex, Brocha's and Wernicke's, as well as the limbic system and hippocampus. They LOVED it!

Last year, I had the Biffeytoons loaded on, and my students could practice their sight words in a center with the iPad. I also have the Seminar notes saved in iBooks for easy reference.

Any other ways you use you iPad in WBT?

I'll have to check out that app.

There's a fantastic app called AlgebraTouch that is completely tactile for teaching stuff like factoring, eliminating common factors, etc. It's great, and I pull a lot of my gestures for Algebra from the gestures you use to do the processes in that app, so that when my students practice on it they all tie in.

My students love the free Virtuoso app-- it's a piano keyboard. My class leaders touch a note for us to sing on the keyboard when we're counting (1 note per number), saying the alphabet (1 note per letter), etc. and it's also a great addition to our free time.
