TOPIC: Using WBT methods for tutoring

Using WBT methods for tutoring 3 months ago #9617

hi all,

I have tried the WBT methods with learners from 18 months to 6 years with great results.

I am now interested in how to apply them when i need to work with students in a 1 to 1 or 1 to 2/3 tutoring environment.

For example, chanting the class rules works well with 20 kids all going in unison.

But with 1 to 1 tutoring, let me know how you have been able to successfully crossover the methods/techniques and apply them.

What changes have you made?

Thanks so much!

Rgs, Steve

My husband uses it in his private music classes. He has one small class of 3. In this class, he still uses it. The rules are followed pretty well bc of the size. He introduces them, but everything is a little more "low key" with just the 4 of them in the room. He still does everything else. He rotates as the partner with the odd #.

Hope this helps,
