Thanks! I found a bunch of sites that support gestures in teaching. I had to because I did a lesson with WBT for my observation. The kids were with me the whole time and I had almost 100% engagement (big focus in our school). The principal wrote out anecdotal notes and made comments about how he didn't really see the gesture as necessary. I told him I would send him some links of research, so I did. '
I have my post observation conference with him Monday, so I have to wait to see what he thinks.
