Hi, My name is Tamara and I work at an Alternative School for "badly behaved" students. In my classroom I have about 15 students 9 of which have IEPs for Behavior Disorders. Most of the students are oppositional, and have no control over their emotions.

I have been adding to my whole brain teaching little by little and I have had great success in my classroom. When people see my room they don't believe that this is an EBD classroom, usually I have 100 % engagement.

I am a certified teacher in Florida, New Jersey and Connecticut in Elementary Ed, and Exceptional Student Education. My dream position is working in the Stamford area (tri-state) area. Still working on that.

Hi, just an update ! I was just awarded "Rookie Teacher of the Year" by my school. I as so thrilled to be honored by my peers. After receiving my award, my principal asked my peers to give me three big claps and a 10 finger woo ! Thanks to WBT I made out like a teaching star.
