Hello!!! I'm Corinne, a second year teacher from Glendale/Surprise AZ, and I just attended a P.D. on WBT today. It was so AWESOME! I've been using some WBT techniques in my classroom since last year. After seeing Chris' video on Youtube and clicking on related videos I decided to implement the scoreboard and class-yes into my classroom near the end of my first year. It seemed to really "fit" my style and it meshed really well with things I already did!
I continued searching for WBT techniques and decided to implement mirror this year because it worked really well with this technique I use called Total Physical Response in which students learn vocabulary and concepts kinestetically.
After attending a seminar today taught by Deb Weigel I can't believe how much of the big picture of WBT I wasn't using yet and am excited to begin using more techniques with my class.
I can't wait to attend some webinars and post more!

Welcome to WBT. It is amazing how WBT gives us so much of what we have been searching for for so long. Let us know how things go for you in your WBT journey.

I have to say that WBT is amazing and has truly worked wonders in my classroom! Stay on the forum and you'll learn lots and if you have questions, there is always someone out there to help. Keep up the good work and let us know how things go!

OH YEAH! The seminar in Phoenix yesterday was a wonderful opportunity to work with some amazing teachers. Mrs. Gettys did a great job getting up and modeling a lesson in front of her colleagues. I do believe that Phoenix is going to be rockin' place in July, when all of you CRAZY EXCITED WBTeachers get together to learn more and fill your WBT toolbox to overflowing!

I am going to do everything I can to see if there is a way to be there, we are a year round school and may be in session until July 21

If not can you video some parts or make a mini rockin Phoenix webinar? As a UoP grad it be fun to be there again.
