You will ove WBT. You can make it work for you easily. You will just have to modify it some to meet your needs since you don't see the same kids all day. If you have any questions, I will be glad to help!

Welcome to WBT. It will change your teaching life! If you haven't had the opportunity to watch the beginning steps videos that are posted on the website, I suggest you do so. The videos helped me a lot when I was getting started with WBT. I also downloaded most all of the free ebooks. There is so much information in them. For me, printing them and putting them in binders that I could turn to whenever I needed made things much easier.
This forum is also a great tool. Whenever you have challenges or questions, just post them. Someone will be there to help out right away. (Usually many people are there to help.)

I'm with Susan, I had to print it all out and put it in a binder. That really made me feel like I could make it all work! Also, I kept the "First Steps" on paper in front of me as I taught so I could remember to incorporate them.

Good luck in the Library,

Hi,

WBT is going to be wonderful in your kindergarten class. I saw in your profile you had been teaching 5th grade. I imagine you will finder kindergarten refreshing. Remember, we all at one time or another were novices, so please feel free to post your questions and comments on the boards. I look forward to hearing more from you.

Again, welcome to WBT, and keep us updated on your success.

It works wonders everywhere!!
I am so happy to hear that you came across this! The more people who know about it the better! I came across it a year ago and started implementing it and oh.....the wonders!! Absolutely fascinating, watching the students transition! If you ever get an opportunity to go to a conference, I highly recommend it! It is amazing watching it all piece together in one setting! Good Luck!

dseigler,

I am thrilled to hear you are going to use WBT in the library. Imagine how wonderful it will be when all you have to do is say "class" and they will respond "yes", and you have their attention. You will also be able to weave the rules in. For example, if someone is dawdling while choosing a book, you can remind him/her of "Rule 1- Follow Directions Quickly!"

Oh, I get excited when I think of the conversations you can have with students about authors, illustrators, characters, plot, setting, etc!

Keep us posted on how it goes!
