I am in the process of developing lessons and response activities for our Scott-Foresman sight word lessons using Biffytoons. I can't wait to get started itroducing our words this way!
Trying to attach a file with the first page response from our first lesson.

series--Scott Foresman Reading Street. I am not pleased with how little quality instruction and practice is allowed for in Reading Street, so I decided to "insert" Biffytoon sight word instruction into our phonological awareness lessons. Kindergartners are all about names , so our first lesson will be a pocket chart activity using the Biffytoon for I and am and the student's name card with their picture. After practicing this, students will show what they have learned on a response sheet with the Biffytoons and spaces for their own writing. I feel that the Biffytoon posters along with this type of activity will accelerate our sight word recognition. Just had to share how much the conference and downloads have inspired me!!!

I love how you incorporated the Biffytoons into the worksheet/lesson!

I don't teach K, but I'm tutoring a new reader and have been AMAZED with the success of Biffytoons!!! The pictures and actions make such a big impact. She is able to learn several words at a time each session! After learning the first group of words, we also started practicing with Super Speed- she loves it!

Thanks Biffle!

You are so right...Biffytoons DO ROCK!
Our HM requires 18 sight words in K & over 200 in first! Crazy jump! Several years ago our first grade and kinder teams got together and realized this jump was killing our kiddos. So as a kinder team, we decided to teach all 48 of the Biffytoon words~ we were AMAZED with the success! Previously my lowest students only retained around 13-14 words (when we taught only 18). Last year my lowest student retained 33! I love it! Even my lowest are successful:) Woo hoooooo!!!
