We are LOVING the Biffytoons!!!!! But . . . we have a few sight words that are not included that we would LOVE to have a graphic for. Any plans to add any more? Like "me" "my" "like" to name a few? Is there a first grade set that we might pull from? Thank you!!! Heather

Andrea, is there a way to correlate Biffytoons with the HM reading curric. I would love to know for kindergarten.
Thanks

Hi annette!
The words absolutely coordinate with HM~ you will just be teaching the Biffytoons in the order of HM. Our kinder team has opted to teach one word a week and then we add in the rest of the Biffytoons and by the end of the year they learn 42 sight words. Plus we sing spell them so they can read AND spell them! When I only used HM my lowest could read 13 sight words. Last year my lowest Read AND spelled 32 sight words. All I can say is WOW!!!

@ Heather:
Did you check the Biffytoon full set? Because I have those words in my set (?)

Andrea, I am SO SORRY but talk me thru this because I cannot find me, my, and like anywhere! The set under downloads does not have them from what I can see. Is there a set somewhere with more words? Am I looking at the wrong thing?

Re: biffytoons 1 year, 8 months ago #3867

Okay.....so...you are completely right! (as I'm sure you know:)
I have a really old version~ hard copy~ that I had copied, shrunken down, and had parents color and I laminated them. This was before the "color" version that is available. What I could do is scan in the Black and White copies and email them to you. Email me a list of words you need and I will see if I have what you need. I know for sure there is me, my, and like.
Sorry about the confusion:(

I also would like those words. Also, the word "it" is listed, but there is no Biffytoon nor explaination of the gesture! Am I missing it somewhere??

Hey Mr. Biffle...who did the artwork for the biffytoons?

I would almost hire who ever it was to do the other sight words that I have that are not included!!!! Because for the first three weeks we have been doing sight words our old standard way....and the kids were not getting them! So I finally convinced my vp (WHO IS WBT THIS YEAR) to let me use the biffytoons....AND OH MY GOODNESS....I AM IN LOVE!!!! 7 words down in only 2 weeks!!!!!

I tell you they are amazing!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

You can add me to the list of people who would like the words "me, like, my, it" They were not in the original Biffy Tunes book I downloaded two years ago. (09/10)
I teach Title I Reading. I introduce the Biffy Tune words to my kindergarteners, but my 1st graders, 2nd graders, and 3rd graders all want to start our sessions going over the Biffy Tunes with gestures. They love to gesture a sentence while the rest of us say and point to the word they are gesturing. My first and second grade teaachers have also asked if there are Biffy Tunes for the sight words at their levels. Are there any plans to do Biffy Tune words for all the primary grades?

I was just checking in again, and haven't received any follow up regarding the request for the additional words. Would you be able to help out?

I'm also interested in the extra sight words. Thanx :o)

Re: biffytoons 1 year ago #5497

I too would like these, and..a question my Biffytoons have been up most of the year with the picture clues. We are going back this week and I want to know do I put up the picture ones or just the words. I can QT the kids to see if they know gestures, but also want them to learn to use the word wall especially during writing time. This is a K-1 class heavy on K's.

Thank you, Annette

I would also love the full Bifftoons. Do you know how many words the black and white set had? There are 48 in the current download
