Hi everyone -
If you find your class with an extra 5 minutes before lunch, what activities do you like to do?

That is a perfect time for a Power Vocabulary quiz. You call out the term, and do the "Teach!", the teaching partners do the "OK!" and then run through the definition with gestures.

It is also a good time to play a quick game of Mind Soccer, or run through about three rounds of SuperSpeed 1000.

Superspeed 100 and 1000 "practice" are great sponges. They don't actually get to play the game...because we all know that the game is earned, but they can practice to break their own personal records.

Also, you can put a couple of topics on the board and have your class compare and contrast the two. Look at the critical thinking video in the videos section or on youtube/teachertube. Higher level of thinking instead of four corners. I choose higher level of thinking.
