I began using the speed numbers and letters on Monday with my k/1 resource kids. Oh my gosh! I can already see improvement. At this point we are doing it all together. I get one volunteer to announce each level and another to announce challenge. We also say "stop" at the end of each row in order to help keep everyone together.

Love it!

My kindergarten class began speed numbers this week. We too are doing it all together. I really like your suggestion of having them stop at the end of each row to make sure everyone is in the same place and eliminate confusion. I will begin using this on Monday.

Help, give us an example I'd love to start on Monday as a warm up in the morning with my K students.

I am so psyched about the speed games.. I know they are going to help my learners.

I recently blogged about my experience using the SuperSpeed games while tutoring some kids in K, 3rd, and 7th. It amazes me that something so simple can appeal to such a wide range of ages! The repetition of the game and working with a partner is defnitely helpful for those with special needs.
I love it!

Super speed games are fantastic in the special needs classroom. My students loved them too! My goal for the upcoming year is to get more. Proficient using them. Anyone else out there run out of time to get to them. Since the kids have crazy schedules in and out of my room, time is often a problem.

I also used Superspeed phonics and 100 with a 4th grader still unable to read. It really built up his confidence as well as his reading abilities.
