I have used WBT with 3-5th graders for 2 years, had teachers observe me, and have been asked to observe teachers to give tips. I absolutely love it and its my way to teaching. Cant teach without it. I just moved from VA to NY and have yet to find a job so I am subbing. Miss having a job....but I know some school will be impressed with a sub using such amazing classroom management strategies in their school. I have used it in sub classes when doing elementary kids. The teachers and students loved it....& I mean loved it. My days went smooth and some teachers said they never got such a good sub report...and i wasn't lying. Their classes were great! I am nervous to do high school kids though. I have never taught high school but may get calls to sub high school. I feel comfortable teaching them the teach/ok & class/yes. I am not quite comfortable teaching them a scoreboard. What cheers would high school kids find interesting? What can they earn in a high school class that is okay for a sub to give? Free time to talk @ end? Music? I would hate for a principal to walk by and see a sub allowing talk time or playing music. Doesnt look good. For elementary classes I always go off of what the teacher says are her incentives. I can not see high school teachers leaving incentives they use on sub plans. Any ideas?
Thank you
