Of all the workshops I've attended in my 28 years of teaching, this is likely to be one that permanently impacts the way that I teach. Whole Brain teaching organizes much of what I've learned by trial and error over the years. I've used gestures to teach concepts and developed some that I've used for years. However, now that powerteaching has focused my attention on gesturing, I will create more. I've learned over the years that the best teaching has student response and engagement, but Whole Brain teaching gives me a thought-out plan for making it happen throughout all my lessons. Whole Brain teaching matches what experience has taught me, so I am excited to begin implementing it and sharing about it. Thank you, Chris Biffle, for having chosen the path that made your research and work available to teachers at a price we can afford ($0!).
