We hope to see all of our Texas teachers at the next Whole Brain Teaching workshop in Lake Worth (just north of Fort Worth) on May 23rd! Chris Biffle and Jay Vanderfin will be in attendance so it should be a lot of fun!!

I just got my name on the list. This is my first conference (I'm not a teacher yet). So... any tips on what to bring besides note taking stuff?

I think water, snacks, questions, and an open mind should be plenty. It's a pretty long day, but I promise you this isn't the type of workshop where you just sit and listen. There will be a lot of interaction and learning via the four learning modules. Hopefully you will be fired up from all of the information. I'll see you on Saturday!

Of all the workshops I've attended in my 28 years of teaching, this is likely to be one that permanently impacts the way that I teach. Whole Brain teaching organizes much of what I've learned by trial and error over the years. I've used gestures to teach concepts and developed some that I've used for years. However, now that powerteaching has focused my attention on gesturing, I will create more. I've learned over the years that the best teaching has student response and engagement, but Whole Brain teaching gives me a thought-out plan for making it happen throughout all my lessons. Whole Brain teaching matches what experience has taught me, so I am excited to begin implementing it and sharing about it. Thank you, Chris Biffle, for having chosen the path that made your research and work available to teachers at a price we can afford ($0!).

I attended the Whole Brain teaching at Lake Worth Texas this weekend. It was the best training I have received! I walked away enthusiastic, refreshed and ready to implement into my classroom.

I am so excited to put Whole Brain Teaching into use fully in my summer school classes! I would love to see the example lessons we saw Saturday in video! The guy who did the music lesson was FANTASTIC! I really think he should be a video on the site.

I would love to bring Whole Brain Teaching to Longview!

Thanks to everyone who helped bring this to Texas, where we do still have a few rowdie kids!

I am from Austin, Texas and I went to the powerteaching/whole brain teaching conference in Lakeworth, TX. I had a great time. I wish that someone would have videotaped the teacher demonstrations and put that on the WBT website. Those teachers did an excellent job showing us the forest floor lesson using WBT, the musical note lesson and the lesson on angles. I just wish that I could remember everything that those teachers did and said so that I can do it in my classroom.

Glad to see you here! How can I help? I can put you in contact with the music teacher, kindergarten teacher, and I can pass on the lesson I taught about angles - email me, and I will get you the email address of the music teacher: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Are you having trouble starting a WBT lesson? - my first plan was the toughest, but it got easy after that... let me know if I can help!
