Hey, wibeteers what are you using for "prove it" for first grade we do not test in first grade we give benchmarks. I really want to include prove it in my morning routine, any advice.

Our first grade teachers use powerpoint slides that they created based on the questions students would have to answer on their benchmark tests.

The big piece that our 1st grade team looked at was distractors (the wrong answers). For example if they were looking at an addition problem then the distractors for each of the 5 problems of the day would follow the same pattern (ie: a- subtracted b- put the numbers together (5 + 2 = 52), etc).

They wanted to teach the students to recognize certain distractors automatically.

Tiffany, this is a great help. I use Envision math and know they have test questions I can download and use the Doc camera for. I have the benchmarks from last year and can make an easy PPT from them just re arranging the questions. I can see the important factor being the distractor questions. This will be the focus of that 10 min. time in the morning for Prove-it.
