I played the Complexor Game for the first time today. The students participated fully and had fun. It is very obvious to me that this can be a time-efficient way to introduce and practice a variety of complex sentence structures. We started with: Since________, ________. English language difficulty in one student came to the surface as he tried to construct a sentence. With a little guidance he was on his way. I'm looking forward to doing more Complexor activities and reading further into The Writing Game.
I would really love a webinar on using the Complexor Game. Writing seems to be teachers most difficult area to teach. I work with Learning Support students who are definately lacking in the skills necessary for writing. If anybody has any great ideas on using the Writing Game, I am open to anything.
I could use a little help with the complexor game as well. I teach esl in Taiwan and I think it's great practice for my students but it is a little difficult. I'm trying to think of some ways to make it a little easier. I let my students pick any of the nouns on the page and I gave them extra time. They did enjoy it and it really made them think creatively.
