The chant I have is one that my students made up. It is, "Let's give _______ a Blazers cheer." While they do that the students hit their legs, clap their hands and say "whoo." The students made up the chant themselves.

I give out as many stars as I want during the day. A student may earn one stars, two stars or whatever in a day. I have a place on my board that says stars, and I write their name up whenever they earn a star (or ask the student to write up their name). At the end of the day, I add the stars to the chart.

I give out stars whenever a student improves in any area. I give stars for improving in Super Speed, behavior, fluency scores on the AimsWeb probes, Maze (comprehension) scores on the AimsWeb probes, anything that I want the students to try harder on is fair game for earning stars to their Super Improver cards. (I don't have a regular classroom, so I can't have a Super Improver "wall".)
